It seems appropriate to feature the angelwing shell for the Christmas holiday season. They are very fragile and care must be taken in handling them. Angelwings break easily. It's a wonder that you can find them intact. Usually just half of the angelwing is found and the typical size is about 2" in length. Pictured is a giant angelwing measuring 4".
