These Turkey Wings are 2-1/2" to 1-1/4" long.
These are perfect shaped and rarely found Zig Zag Scallop Shells. Adding to my collection came from a wonderful shell collector from Arkansas named Rhonda Harrison Cole who is so talented on making seashells wreaths! The zig zag shell has been included in my exhibit to submit to the 75th Annual Shell Fair and Show on March 1, 2, and 3, 2012 on Sanibel Island.  This junonia shell was found last week in about 3' of water off of Sanibel Island near the lighthouse. It's considered a "rare treasure" and the Sanibel
newspaper will glady take a photo of you if you find one. Though it's not in perfect condition, I kept it as it's only the second one I found in 13 years.  These beautiful pink shells are found mostly bayside on the beach, not on the Gulf side. You can find them at Lover's Key State Park, just south of Estero Island.
 I found the large clam shell on the left on Captiva Island near the Mucky Duck Restaurant at the end of August. Nearby are coquina shells. I looked through a seashell guidebook called Florida's Seashells, A Beachcomber's Guide and was unable to identify it. I posted this picture on the I Love Shelling Facebook page and didn't get a response. Hmmm... if anyone knows what it is, please leave a comment.
 The best place I find these shells are at Lover's Key State Park and New Pass Beach. Some are clown-shoe shaped and others are flatter and more oval. I love the purplish streaks in them.
Shellers commonly refer to these beautiful shells as the butterfly shell. Coquina's can be found on Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach.   Found these shells on Estero Island near the Holiday Inn. I don't have too many in my collection and when I do find them it's like finding treasure!

each.  Jingle shells are translucent and delicate. They come in 4 colors: orange, yellow, white, and gray. The orange colored ones are my favorite.
