Hello Fans!
I am entering a seashell wreath in the 2011 Sanibel Shell Show as a professional exhibitor. What does that mean? My wreath is not for sale, but will be on display for the judging competition inside the Sanibel Community House on March 3-5.
Judges will select the best wreath that contains mostly shells; displays the best aesthetic qualities; is of quality craftsmanship; is original in creation; and meets the rules of the exhibit class. A ribbon is awarded to the winner. This is my first exhibit in the Sanibel Shell Show and I’m very excited to have this opportunity. If you’re in the area, stop by and say hello!
You're truly, Nancy.

The Shell Fair & Show is an Island tradition. Held annually for three days during the first week of March, this year's fair (March 3 to 5) marks the 74th anniversary.
The largest exhibition of its kind in the United States, it provides as opportunity to learn about shells in their natural state, and to see them put to use in all kinds of arts and crafts.
Inside the Community House, the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club, presents a juried show. Among the show's highlights are the many outstanding examples of shell art competing for prizes in almost fifty categories. These works are unlike anything most have ever seen.
Outside the Community House, are very creative handicrafts. Every Monday during the preceding year, Shellcrafters meet in the Community House to make shell "critters" and crafts. Visitors can buy these works in the Shellcrafters tent.
The Live Shell Exhibit, a fair favorite hosts aquariums that hold sea creatures in re-creations of their natural habitats.
Be sure to visit the Shell Fair & Show!
